permalinks gives wrong pages

      Dear people,

For the last two days i’ve searched for a solution to get my permalinks working well.

I tried much solutions but nothing worked. If i put the permalinks on the default settings in the settings page, all pages work like a charm. As soon as i change it to /%category%/%post%/ several pages are correct displayed in the addressbar but shows an other page. So for example: https://domain/category/pageA shows correctly and when clicking on  https://domain/category/pageB from a page or from the menu it shows https://domain/category/pageB in the addressbar which is good, but it shows https://domain/category/pageA and if i click on “Edit Page” on the top of the browser (since i am logged in) it goes to PageA instead of pageB.

      Please help me, thanks.

      Hello,

Please try to set it as “/%category%/%postname%/” instead of %post%. Normally it should not be any issue with it.
      Let us know.

      Best regards!

      Hi Mihaila,

Ofcourse i ment “/%category%/%postname%/” it’s configured that way.

Can you give me a hint where to look? Does this looks as a double or wrong URL somewhere in the MySQL database or is it a rewrite issue? Or are there to many subpages under one page? (there are about 38 subpages under one mainpage)

      Thanks and regards, Reinout

      Hello,

Please read this article, for more on permalinks. The more probable issue is the redirect.
      Let us know.

      Best regards!

      Hello,

Found the solution. This problem was caused by having the same categoryname (parent menu name) as pagename. Probably this caused a glitch somewhere. In my case it was https://www.domain.com/consultancy/consultancy the fact that i used a category (main menu name) ‘consultancy’ and a pagename ‘consultancy’ caused wrong behaviour that gives randomly wrong pages.

      Regards, Reinout
