hi, when i click portfolio link in my home page it shows 404 error not found. when i click preview changes in my portfolio entry it also shows the same. can u help me with this.

Please check you permalinks. If you set them up as “Post name” the portfolio will work right away. if you already have them like this, or don’t want this structure, then just reset permalinks.
Clear browser cache and refresh page.
