We recently upgraded the Specular theme from 2.3.1 to 3.2.7. We’ve had some adjustments to make including a few broken links. One issue has arisen that we would like your help with:

We have a portfolio of projects on the website. The primary page, where all portfolio categories are listed, is: https://planforaction.com/projects/strategic-planning/

One example of a portfolio category page is: https://planforaction.com/projects/strategic-planning/

When you click on any of the icons on the portfolio category page above, we get a 404 Page Not Found message. As an example: https://planforaction.com/portfolio/town-of-addison-texas/

The following links are to screenshots to illustrate. Would you please advise.

      Hi,

Did you changed the Portfolio items Slug?

Please go to Specular Theme Options -> Portfolio and check the Slug. Is it ‘portfolio’?

Also, go to Settings -> Permalink, change it to default and then re-change to the one you use. This trick will refresh the permalink code.

      Thanks

thank you for your reply. As recommended, I checked the Specular Theme Options>Portfolio and the slug reads “portfolio.”

I was less sure about changing the Settings>Permalink. But changed it from https://planforaction.com/sample-post/ to https://planforaction.com/?p=123 and then back to https://planforaction.com/sample-post/ and that did the trick.

      thank you!

      You’re welcome :)

It’s an old WP trick, WP needs to rewrite server rules.

If you like our theme and support, leave us a rating on Themeforest, it’s very important for us :)

      Thank You so much
