I want to import a dummy template on my site and have all the content show on the new template. I tried this and it did not work, so I reverted the site back to a backup. However, now the site is showing duplicate pages on the top menu and I don’t know how to delete them (they don’t show up as duplicates in the backend so I can’t delete.)
1. Is it possible to use a dummy template (Business 4) and have the existing content still be there?
2. In the meantime, how can I delete the duplicate pages on the top menu?
Thank you. Also, I just realized my support ran out a while ago. I just purchased another six months.
1-When you import a demo, the process will overwrite all existing option values, but the pages will still be there. As the import process only adds pages to the database. It does not delete any.
However, we strongly recommend to always keep a back up of your site’s content, before every major change.
2-I was able to remove the duplicate menu items in Appearance > Menus.
