I tried updating the theme via wordpress and via ftp.

But now i have two another problems.

1) have I lost all the previous configurations?

2) by activating the child theme, the site goes completely wrong.
If I click on “setup now”, it will re-import all the demo content, and I don’t want to.

Ok for 2-

1- following your update, I lost the configuration of the menu, of the footer, etc. etc.
I restore everything, but I wonder: can this problem occur every time I update the theme?
