      Hello,

I have a silly question, but I am just a self-learner, so I want to make sure I am not ending publishing many empty pages in my site.

My site is nearly ready to be published, but I am struggling with few things:

      1. Editor not loading, but I have another thread with that issue. Just need the last few changes done soon.
      2.  Permalink changes – I was thinking to change to “Custom Structure” using %category% as it will take the text in slug field of each page.  This site is not going to have a Blog just yet, they are static pages, so I wonder is the best option as I read, as I just want the title/menu Title for each page, or is there other options?
      3.  The silly question now :-). We have built our website with few pages, (more to come). However, this template has many pages (I have been deleted some, other are there but I don´t know If I will use them and I will be using others in few months). So, Could I ONLY select the pages I want to make live? I did not want to have many pages live, not link to the site and empty, and being crawled by search engines. Could you help me to understand how it works?

      Thanks

      E.

      Hello,
      Sorry for the late reply.
      2. To change the permalink go to Dashboard > Settings > permalinks. On the custom structure field you can add %category% .
      3. Yes you can select the pages you want to make live : they should not be published.
Go to pages and edit a selected page. On the right side you will find the publishing options : https://www.clipular.com/c/5484325653446656.png?k=66-sNkY381Gpu768VN4XEOJHya0 (screenshot)
Edit the status from published to draft. In this way the page exist but it is not published. For more info on how pages work visit: https://codex.wordpress.org/Pages
      Let me know.
      Best regards!
