Hi,
On my clients website I am using parent pages with child pages within the menu and when clicking on the parent page in the menu (on tablet or mobile) it opens the drop down menu, you’re unable to click onto the parent page to go to this page.
Can this be changed to work how I would like it to?
Thanks

Hi azam,
Do you know when you will be able to look at this?
Thanks
-
Hi,
Example do you want to have hyper link on About tab too?
This what you are looking for? -
-
Matt,
I have seen this in details, Current Menu is setup for Best User Expeince.
I dont recommend this, if you click on About, then sub-menu become visible.
—Thanks,

Hi azam,
How the menu has been setup currently means users are unable to click onto the parent pages, only the sub pages. It really does need to work the way I mentioned as that gives the better user experience as people are then able to click onto the pages.
Thanks

Matt,
In my eye it will confuse User he will have a Sub-Menu by Mouse Over event and Simulatnesouly its Link and Click-able. It will annoy the user. However I have just checked your website: http://preview3-imsr.co.uk/crouch/
All are having Parent is having link as well. Are you Refering to some other website?

Hi azam,
I understand that you’re saying it will be a bad user experience but with the way you have developed the theme I am unable to click through to the Kitchens and Whole House pages, these both have content on, I need my clients customers to be able to click on these so they can read the content on it. The way the menu currently works it doesn’t allow people to click on these pages to read the content, they can only click on the names and open the sub menu.
Having the sub-menu open wouldn’t help as I still need to be able to click on Kitchens or Whole House and be taken to those pages?
Do you understand what I am trying to say?
Thanks
Matt

Matt,
See Above Picture and Menu will look like this as Said, it will be a link on whole house and Kitchen link can be opened. Let me know if you want to proceeds. Thanks,

Hi azam,
If this is the only way to get it to work then please go ahead.
Could you make the changes in the child theme so I don’t lose the changes when the theme is updated please.
Thanks
Matt

Hi azam,
We’re getting somewhere with this but now you’re unable to open the drop down menu – can it be changed so it’s one tap to open and then another tap to go to the page or you have to tap on the arrow icon to open the sub menu and tapping on Kitchen or Whole House it takes you to those pages?
Thanks
Matt

Hi azam,
OK the menu seems to be displaying as fully opened now – if this is the only way that it can be done then this is how it will have to stay :|
