I sacrificed a very mean problem today. After a full day of updating and building our company website, with saving and publishing many times along the way, I was shocked tonight, when I went back to the page and saw it in the status of yesterday. All work on the body of the main page was lost. New sub-pages I created today are fine, except of the google maps function, which disappeared as well.
Can anyone tell me what I did wrong, or even better, tell me how to avoid this in the future. It´s really frustrating.
The Save & Publish does save your changes definitely. Did this happen with only one page? Or the entire site? Please make sure you have the page opened in only one tab while making the changes and saving them. If you keep a copy of the page in it’s first state opened in another tab, no matter how many times you make changes to tab1 and save, if the very last save is made to the tab2, then it will keep the page with the settings of the very last save action.
I don’t know if i explained this properly.
