Search displays HTML entity for special characters

  I have the June WooCommece WordPress theme installed on a dev site, and I noticed a bug where the HTML entity code displays in Search after selecting a result from the autocomplete drop down menu.

  For example, when searching for the term “fly” and selecting a search result, the following displays in the Search box:
  
  Fly fishing Buff – Rainbow Trout Print
  
  Is there a way I can fix this so the proper special character (-) displays instead of the entity code (–)?

  To fix this issue you have only to remove the space between the “-” in the product titles.

  Removing the space is not viable solution for us as many of our product titles require it for formatting purpose. When do you expect the next update of the theme to be released that addresses this issue?

  We will try to fix this issue in the next updates, but seems it is difficult to resolve it. So the only fast solution is to remove the space.

  Your theme page on Themeforest.net states there was an update on November 23, 2018, but I did not receive an email notification about the update, nor do I see an update to the theme in WordPress admin.

  Seems strange that you haven’t received the email with the update notification.
