I am using the Specular template for my website, and it loads really slow. I did as much as I could to speed up the performance (decrease # of page requests, minify css, compress images, etc.), but it still loads very slow. I understand that I should consolidate CSS files, but because of the nature of WordPress, css files live in its native plugin.
The Specular demo currently has 132 page requests and my website has only 74 page requests. Can you help me further speed up my website? I am really struggling to make it perform faster.
You should remove every page/post you do not use. Also remove every plugin that is not used. keep in mind to always keep everything up to date. Old versions can affect the site’s performance too.
