Specular DEMO import does not work properly

  I just purchased Specular, followed the instructions to import one of the demo themes (gallery) but none of the theme options like header settings or footers were installed. i tried another theme (minimal2) and it did the same.
  
  The import worked fine and got to 100% on each occasion and all the post/page content with attachments got installed, just not the theme settings and widgets.
  
  This is one of the main reasons I purchased this theme so I do hope you can fix it for me, otherwise I will be asking for a refund.
