Tower dropdown menu text disappears

  I have a dropdown menu with 6 pages/titles. When I use the menu to go to one of the pages, the page title on the dropdown for that page disappears. Can I make that CURRENT page title on the dropdown an italic font rather than the same color as the background or a different color?

  nav li.current-menu-item > a { font-style: italic;}
