Unable to Change the default Font Family

  Hi,
  
  my client wants me to change the default font to Tahoma. I went to Typography Options and changed the default font, to option: “Tahoma,Geneva,Sans Serif.” I saved the change, went to the front, refreshed my browser a number of times but the font does not appeared changed yet, no matter how many times I have refreshed the page. I Typography Options settings. Do I still need to install the font? Or, am I missing something?

  I did, but unfortunately, the problem with losing the page layout is back, after I uploaded the latest version of Visual Composer (Version 4.6.2), (Please see: “Specular Pages Lose Layout After Save,”), and the latest available template version (1.3.5).
  
  Also, my client is having trouble seeing the selected font family displayed the same across all browsers. please read his note:
  
  “All three browsers (Firefox, Chrome and IE) are up to date.
  
  I also cleared the cache in my primary browser (Firefox).
  
  Yesterday was the first time I loaded the new site in IE and Chrome, and the font size and font type were the same as in Firefox.
  
  Interestingly enough, I opened the link on my laptop and the font is indeed looking like Sans Serif type. I am curious to know how to explain this, and more importantly if there is anything to be done to make sure everyone sees it the same way?
  Also note:
  However, on the laptop, the Location/Phone/Email header on the top right is wrapping on the next line…Looks clunky.”

  This is very strange. Did you made any changes to theme files? Or did you took any update recently? Please reupload a fresh copy of theme files and try again.

  Hi Mihaila, I am not sure if you noticed the first paragraph of my initial comment:

  Are there any newer releases of the template or the Visual Composer?
  this is taking quite long to be resolved, I am hoping to receive a faster response from you guys. My client is fuming on my shoulders by now!

  Hello,
  
  We have included an older version of Visual Composer in our latest theme update. Please use that version of VC as it is tested and fully compatible with the theme. We will include the newest version in the next release.
  To have it, delete the current plugin and reinstall via theme dashboard.

  Sorry for the late reply.
  I checked your site and i made a test at page Sample Page, i made an exact copy of your home page and tested if my edits would affect the layout. It did not happen.
  I also added this code:.contact_information { margin-left: -122px !important;} in your style.css file to fix the contact information widgets in the header.
  And this: body { font-family: "Tahoma",Geneva,Sans Serif !important; } for the body font type.
  
  We have tested theme multiple times and did not see any of these issues. Most of the time if a wordpress installation does not recognize and save a theme’s option change, it due to corrupted files. You can install a fresh copy of wordpress and the theme in your localhost. And will see that none of this issue will happen.

  After many tries I was able to get the site back up to display the content correctly.
  
  By the way, the template version is not easily found in https://themeforest.net/item/specular-responsive-multipurpose-business-theme/9412083
  
  It would be a nice addition and help save time being able t find it on first view.
