Hi Codeless team,
In Specular (version 3.2.1) function codeless_text_limit() is used to get an excerpt.
In codeless_slideshow.php this function is called with get_the_content() as input.
codeless_text_limit() processes it’s input as if it were a literal string.
Which is not the case: get_the_content() also returns html tags and what not.
This results in issues with html tags that are not closed.
As an example:
My post starts with italic text that’s longer than the requested excerpt.
This causes the closing tag to miss and all following page content to be in italic.
This can be simply solved by adding wp_strip_all_tags() at the top of codeless_text_limit() before starting to process its input.
