Hi, I just bought a copy of the theme to update a site that currently uses Specular 1.9 and WPBakery Visual Composer 4.11.2 (also qTranslate-X is used for multilingual).
As it is a very old version, what actions do I need to take to update the theme safely? Do you recommend updating?
As in the mean time a lot of major WordPress and specular updates are came and gone so chances are high your site will crash. So, to avoid that just make sure to keep full backup of your website content and files then it will be better if you can setup a clone on your some other domain [test] or on your local setup.
Then proceed with updating your theme and plugins and if anything goes wrong you have to style or fix those issues one by one. If you do this on live site it may crash your website because your theme version is way older.
