Visual Composer does not work. I have carefully followed your instructions. I deleted Visual Composer, installed the Specular theme update and then installed the latest version of Visual Composer.
Visual Composer does not work and every time I make one tiny change to the WordPress website and click update, all formatting, service circle icons and font styles are wiped out.
I am stuck and cannot move forward on the website.
I did upgrade to your new version 1.8 and have a few more problems
* Random black bars are appearing on the page. I check the code and can’t find any issue
* We had a widgetized sidebar Porfolio on our page and it is no longer available in the WP Visual Composer (I have entered a ticket with them and they said to check with you). Now all that shows there is <span style=”font-size: 16px; line-height: 24px;”>[vc_widget_sidebar sidebar_id="sidebar-3"]. The code for the sidebar does appear correctly in the Widgets area but the widget is gone</span>
Please send us your wp and ftp credentials in a private reply. So we can check the issue with Visual Composer.
The random black bars are separators which for some reason have the background color set to black. You may have set it up somewhere. However, add this code into your custom css box:

I can’t login with these credentials, please check. I looked throw the home page via inspect element, but i don’t see any division of the content. That means that most probably you have to assign again the sidebar layout to it. Then add the widgetized sidebar.

The problem with the widget is throughout the theme. WP Bakery sent me a message saying that the the theme author has disabled the widgets using vc_remove_element. Will you put it back in the next release.
I have another problem. I used the Service pages as the template for a few pages. The words “A sample page description” is showing up under the page name and I cannot get rid of it. How can I get rid of these words.
These are the settings to change for your issue. You must have done something differently. Please check the credentials so i am able to login(still can’t, screenshot).
Also i need the ftp to check the codeless_elements.php file. Let us know.
I went back to a previous version of WP Bakery and it seems to work. Please DO NOT change the widget code for the Portfolio Sidebar
I also need to get this site up tomorrow – I am very late on this project. All I really need is to have “A Sample Page Description” Removed from the pages.

Ok now it works. The previous instructions did not say to overwrite the default page options.
Widgets are not working at all. What is going on? Is there a problem with Visual Composer? I read about this on other themes because if I can’t get this theme fixed, I will have to change to another theme.

Widgets are not related to Visual Composer and VC does not have any problem. Can you please be more specific? What element of Visual Composer are you having troubles with? What do you mean by “widgets not working”? I see they are displaying and giving the right data, in footer. Where are you having the issues?
PS: Please checkout the login data. it would save a lot of time for you and us if we were able to login and troubleshot your queries.
