I purchased Specular, and when I enabled WP Bakery Visual Composer I got very high CPU load on my server.
Then I tried to purchase a licence for WP Bakery, But still got high CPU load.
Then I contacted their support. They made me disable all plugins. Still same problem. They made me allow more memory for WordPress, and for PHP, same problem.
And then they made me switch to wordpress default theme. Wow, CPU fell back to a very low value.
There seem to be an issue with Specular and WP Bakery (provided with the theme or without the theme) even If I have no public page that use WPBakery. It’s only when I enable the plugin that I have the problem.
Specular theme is a complex theme that has it all. Precisely for you to be able to chose from it’s many features and create the best website that fits your needs. To decrease the data load, you can delete all pages/ posts/ portfolio items that you do not need. Optimize images..etc. Please read more on optimization options in this article.
