If you want to update the theme plugins in the future, i recommend you to deactivate the child theme and activate the original theme. After that you can update the plugins and reactivate the child theme.

The white space is caused by the centered footer special style. I have disabled it and now the white space is removed.

We are sorry that you are so disappoint with our theme, the problem is that all the issue you mention above aren’t bugs. The variable products work perfectly but you have to configure them in the right way. The same with the image slider issue.
