Naturally we don’t want to import another demo theme. I will make it as clear as I can:
1. First we installed the template and registered it with the purchase code, we installed the photografer light demo-theme but the front page didn’t work (said that the file was not found).
2. We opened this case the first time with you. We had to give you logins to our wordpress and create an FTP account to you and you succeded to get the demo theme up and running.
3. A couple of days after one of our developers by mistake used your “setup” function and everything we did was destoyed as the demo-theme installation process only works properbly one time. After that it will leave installed demo-themes corrupt.
4. On your request we had to make a fresh installation of WP itself. Now when trying to activate the template again we were not able to (got the error message that that purchase code had already been used to activate a template). You asked us to tell you when we installed a fresh WP and you would setup the template.
5. You installed the demo-theme, uploaded the missing parts through FTP but you did not activate the template itself (it is still not possible to do this with the purchase code) and you asked us to replace the demo photos in the front page gallery with our own photos.
6. We uploaded our own photos, we added portfolio categories and portfolio items but after hours of trying to figure out how to actually get these on the site we had to give up. We simply can not figure out how the heck your template it working and we have been working on 100’s of templates before.
Now, we need your help to:
a) Activate the template (as we as described in 4 are not able to do it ourself with the purchasecode from Envato).
b) Extremely clear instructions of how to change photos in the gallery on front page and how exactly it is working. As I described in 6 we simply can not figure it out.
Thank you for getting the page up and running. You didnçt however activate the plugin? The purchase code doesnt work anymore as we already used it. You asked us to reinstall the theme but after that we couldnt activate. Also, now we uploaded our own photos but we are not able to figure out how to switch the in the theme? Overall this theme really feels like a big mess.
Mixed site? No, we tried installing another theme after the other one produced the same error. The Photographer Dark had the exact same error. Then we did a new setup of the Photographer Light version. It sais on the setup that it deletes all old setup. Isn’t that true? I have to say that we start loosing faith in this template. Now the template doesn’t look at all like the Photograper Light theme.
I am sorry but we seem to have reproduced the same error again. Someone in our team ran the setup wizard again and we are back to step one. The logins we created before still exist. Please help. Also please update the template itself so that running setup wizard will not produce this error.
I think it would be helpful with a voting functionality on feature requests. Some might only be relevant to one user while other bother many. This forum really needs upgrading.
