Sorry but this is a customization that affect all images in the site. If you do not want it, then reverse the changes. Basically, find the code above and just remove this code:
The credentials we need are: wordpress login username/password. You have send these but we need the link of the site as well.
As for the ftp, ask your host provider to create a ftp account. The credentials will include a ftp link/ ftp username/password. The database name is not necessary.
The header only needs to be added some padding. Please add some wp credentials in a private reply. So we can customize the header and check the footer widgets.
I checked the files and they look ok. Can you please try this: activate parent theme and check again. I suspect the child theme is the one causing this.

Menu is composed of three main layers. The top bar (where you have the mobile no), main bar, where menu items are set. And the bottom layer. See a demo of theme where all three layers are used: https://codeless.co/handel/corporate/
A workaround for what you want to achieve is to use the second layer as top bar instead! Add the text and set them as links. Set a background color for it. While adding the menu in the bottom bar.
