Thanks for looking into this for me. I’m not sure why the images were appearing and staying for you. For everyone in my office, the images were disappearing when viewed on mobile devices (both iOS and Android). However, I updated the theme, and the images stopped disappearing. Everything is in order now.

As I noted in my post, I did update Specular to the latest version. Once it was updated, my site was broken. My styles, colors, and elements were broken, missing, and otherwise incorrect. I have not customized any of the code, so I’m not sure why.
However, I wanted to be sure that I didn’t do something wrong, so I just now updated the theme again. This time, Visual Composer is completely missing. I followed the steps to update the theme via FTP, and I did not do anything incorrectly. VC is missing, and my site is still mostly broken.
Today I discovered that Visual Composer is no longer working on my site, so I attempted to update via FTP, taking care to follow the steps outlined on this site. However, once I updated the theme, my site’s styles were completely broken, and most content didn’t show up at all. So, I reverted back to the previous version and attempted to update Visual Composer following your guide, but the message that is supposed to prompt me to install VC does not appear.
Now my site is broken and uneditable. My site gets quite a bit of traffic, so I need to fix this ASAP. What can I do to fix this issue?
I have created a shortcodes.php file in the specular theme folder and I have added the following code to the end of the functions.php file as you instructed:

In the shortcodes.php, I have this function:

add_shortcode(‘retrieve-search-parameter-options’, ‘RetrieveSearchParameterOptions’);
Now, I want to execute this function on only one particular web page https://ezcabin.com/search-plans/ In other themes, I just had to place the shortcode [‘retrieve-search-parameter-options’] in the web page and it would execute the function. Or I could place <?php echo do_shortcode(‘[retrieve-search-perameter-options]’); ?> and it would execute the code.
How can I place this shortcode in the specular theme pages.php file and it execute only on the search-plan web page???
I have deactivated the two plugins (1) Php code for Posts and (2) Php Execution. Now, on the home page https://ezcabin,com I have placed <?php echo “Hello World on Home Page”?> before any other copy and when you go to https://ezcabin.com, the php code is shown and is not being ececuted.
What do I have to do to get this theme to process php code????
