Please check now the child theme is activated on your site and the site layout isn’t breaking at all. Now you can easily switch between parent and child themes without getting any kind of hurdle or issue.

By default, option to even add a custom template not available in the customize Wpbakery for picante theme but as you requested above to add this option so we’ve added this option inorder to fulfill your request by customization in wp-bakery plugin but option to delete a custom templete needs deep customization and we highly don’t recommend this type of customization as it may harm site/plugin functionality.
We’ll try to add these options(add,delete) a custom template in our upcoming theme updates.
