Sorry but that is not possible. By default the post grid removes the html tags. The post grid is an element that is not overwritten by theme. So to change it you will have to edit the plugins files directly. This is not recommended as it will prevent you from updating plugin in the future.

Specular theme has plenty of pre-builded demos for your convenience. If you like of of them, you can spare time by importing the demo instead of putting all elements together.
This does not mean you can not build a site from scratch. A demo is a plus, but not a necessity.
The Visual Composer however is one of the most important plugins. It is necessary for you ti install it in order to use the theme. It is included in theme package and you only need to make a few clicks to install and activate it.
I don’t know what version of Visual Composer was previously installed on your server, but i recommend using the included in the theme version.If you want, you can send us some valid wp credentials of the new installation in a private reply. So we can give a closer look to the situation.

Did you set a height for the slider? Please make sure to have assigned a fixed height in the page’s General Settings > Slider Options.

Actually the images do have a great impact in the site’s performance. I can suggest you to optimize images, ask you host provider to allocate more memory if possible and install a cache plugin. Remove any useless plugin you may have installed but not using and remove unused pages/posts.

The distance between menu and page content is called page header. The page title and breadcrumbs are positioned here. You can change it’s height in General Options > Header Options > Default Page Header > Page Header Height(screenshot) or in the page’s General Settings > Page Header Options, set it ON in order to expand the rest of the options(screenshot).
2-There are no options to change the style of a widget sidebar. You can change it using custom css. Add the code into your Custom Css Box in General Options.

To add the comment section on a page, please go to “Screen Options” (top-right corner of the page’s option panel) and check the “Discussion” and “Comments” checkbox.

You have to be on the parent theme to install the plugins. Since the plugins are included in parent theme, if you have child theme active while installing them, you will get the “wrong path” error.
Just activate parent theme, install plugins and then activate child theme again.Please send us some valid wp credentials in a private reply. We can help you configure the site like the demo.

A wordpress update does not necessarily mean that it will have incompatibility with a certain theme version.
We updated Specular, not because of the new WP update, but because it was time and it needed features updates.
Specular 2.3.3 is perfectly compatible with WP 4.8.The site with older theme version, has a margin-bottom value of 85px that creates the horizontal space. You can add it in General Options > Layout > Page Builder Row Margin Bottom. It was 0px, i set it 85px just like the other site.

The Top Widgetized Area is removed in mobile by default due to the lack of space in this layout. To add it back (responsive off course) add this css into your custom css box:

Yes, you can switch on and off the theme’s version as many time as you wish. Just go to Appearance > Themes, place your mouse over one of the themes. You will see a “Theme details” button. Click on it to check this theme’s version number. If it’s the version you want, click on “activate” button below.
