Well it is strange if someone disabled that plugin for you. I’ll be checking that and fixing for you. But it can take a bit of time as I have to find the cause as well.

As latest WordPress updates changed a lot so did our themes to make sure it works with latest WordPress coding standards. To avoid any issues we prefer to update theme and all plugins as well because in latest WordPress older themes and plugins wont work.
I hope you got the idea. If you are unable to update your plugins just download latest version of the theme and under include-plugins folder you will get all the plugins which you can use to update to latest versions.
