It seems that you’re using a third-party theme. All themes have different settings, options, and different ways to configure them. The requests other than the Codeless themes will not be entertained.

Have you regenerated the thumbnail using the “Regenerate Thumbnails” plugin? The code mentioned in the article will enhance the quality of newly added images, not the earlier/previous ones.
When the image of high resolution is rendered inside a box of small height x width, then it always affects the image quality.
