You can do that by adding the following lines into Customizer > General > Custom Css Box:

.portfolio_item .entry-overlay h3{font-size:20px; color:#ddd;}

.portfolio_item .entry-overlay{ font-size:15px; color:#000}

This is the best options to change the style of portfolio titles and category entry.

You have to create a page with WPBakery Visual Composer > Add Recent Portfolio element and after try to add the element you want.

1.The post masonry grid is be default styled in that way. You can remove the button by adding this Tower > General > Custom CSS :

.vc_grid .vc_btn3-container{display:none;}

2.You can’t remove the links from portfolio. Instead of portfolio you have to use gallery element.

3.You have to create a new page portfolio with only Riad category selected.

I have tried to remove the effect and now seems better. The problem is caused by the images loading delay.

Have you tried to use Jetpack cdn is free. This can speed up the image load effect.
