I set up some pages just for demonstration. You can change them to your wish, and then save changes. Also i set up the menu to be used, in Appearance > Menus.

1-Yes, this type of header (side header) is limited in height, to the height of the screen. Because the style of the demo is fixed header with content scrolling beside it, so the header can not exceed the visible space.
I can suggest you organize the menu in sub-menus to add more items to it.
2-In responsive, this effect is gotten by the tapping action. Not hovering.

2-We have purchased extended licenses for all included plugins. This means they can be used by any one purchasing our theme as long as they use the version included in theme folder. To use them, just install plugin from Plugins menu and activate again from the Plugins menu. This is enough to use the sliders normally. There is no need to activate it in the slider’s options.
The only restriction of this type of licence is that you can not update it on your own terms and some features are available only to personal licenses.
The rules of the marketplace don’t allow us to give the plugin activation code. You can use the existing version without any problem. We update frequently all theme plugins to their latest versions in almost every theme release or in case when an urgent update is needed. So they are always fully compatible with the current theme version.
If you want to buy a license by yourself this is allowed, but we thought that this isn’t needed because the version included works perfectly.
You are free to make the choice that best fits your needs.

No, you do not need to update child theme!
That’s the good of using a child theme when you plan on making changes to theme default features, you can freely update parent theme any time needed and not have to redo the changes made already in child theme.
Can you please give more details? When did this happen? What actions did you perform before the situation?
