1-Did you assign the page as you blog page? Or did you just add a blog element in a normal page? Can you please add some wp credentials in a private reply? So we can check this close.
-To add new strings to a pot file follow the steps:
1)Edit the .po file in any text editor.
Add the text following the other strings example. Something like this:
#: theme-name.php:123 // the reference
msgid "Page Title" // the original term
msgstr "" // the translation
2)Open the .po file in Poedit (free)
3)In Poedit, select file -> Compile to .MO
Sure, you can do the changes yourself. But i need to check the configurations as well because as you can see in our online demo, the sticky logo is linked to homepage. It has no issues. https://codeless.co/specular/default/

This is the logo. Not part of the slider. What demo are you using? If you can send us a link of your site, i can understand better.
But this should not be a problem. The included version is the right version to use. As for activating it, please add some wp credentials in a private reply. So we can check it.
Can you try to delete the plugin and install it again? After deleting there should be a message in your dashboard asking you to install required plugins. Just follow the instructions and that’s it.
