1. Yes for sure you can set a different category for any full blog element you use. So you can create different pages with WpBakery Visual Composer.

You can also create a row and separated in two columns: 3/4 + 1/4 wherein the first column you can add the full blog element and the 1/4 you can add the Widget element where you can put your sidebar.

Another solution is to change the layout of the pages : https://codeless.co/documentation/main.html#create_pages

So you can add a sidebar to any page you want.

2. You can show to any post the category it is easy: Specular > Blog Config > Show Blog Categories.

I have added the menu to the top navigation through a widget. The menu widget was added to the Search Widget Area.

Keep in mind that we can’t allocate the same main menu with different levels like the normal one of the header.

So if you like the one I have added its ok but if not you have to add these menus in the main menu.

Normally Kirki doesn’t create this problem. I think after the theme update you have forgotten any plugin to activate.
