Just disable https and register theme. Then proceed like always. There will not be any issue importing demo data.
Please know that even if you do not register theme, you are still able to import demo data and continue customizing it.
The view of the mobile in the test page you send is not even close to the real view of your site in an actual mobile.
We have tested this in many responsive devices and it’s perfectly responsive.

The images in the demo homepage are a gallery. If you click on the image, it will open wide in a lightbox, but not link to a page.
You can use portfolio to open image to pages, or single images to set a custom link to open in new page. You can add vimeo video in single media as well.
The reason why the “No items of this type were found” message was showing because there were no pages to select from. You had no pages created. I imported the default demo and now there are 44 pages available. The Special Pages are auto-selected to default home and blog page.
You can proceed in replacing the content to your wish.

The latest version of WP Bakery plugin tested with theme, is the included version. Please use this version as it is completely functional and compatible with theme.
We will test the new version of Visual Composer and include it in the next theme update.
The code to position logo is this: #logo img {margin-left: 190% !important;}

You may keep editing the values to your wish and save changes. Make sure to clear cache before refreshing so you can see the changes effect sooner.
